REVIEWS
Indiana-based duo Michael Lewis and Denise Wilson return with an
attractive winter collection, presenting pleasing, elegantly
sung and harmonised renditions of carols from the UK and France;
yet it's the original songs nestled among them (two by Michael,
and Bob Pegg's Rise Up Jock) that really strike gold here."
FolkRoots Magazine (UK)
"Though this recording is
described as a winter and holiday CD, just like Vivaldi's
"Winter" this CD is too good to not be listened to year-round!
A welcome difference between this and earlier Traveler's Dream
recordings is that there are more opportunities to hear both of
their wonderful voices singing in harmony. This CD
includes what I consider to be the best renditions ever of "Good
King Winceslas," "I Saw Three Ships" and "Deck the Halls." But
my favorite is "Gloucestershire Wassail. It is the
"perfect storm" of everything Traveler's Dream does best -- an
incredible arrangement, flawless instrumental performance, and
two of my favorite folk voices of all time singing in harmony.
Slip this CD into the player, turn it up, immerse yourself in
it, and be sure to remember to come up for air!" Fred
