Michael Lewis and Denise Wilson are masters of an
eclectic repertoire who captivate audiences with
Irish jigs and
reels, French-Canadian voyageur songs, sea shanties, Scottish
ballads, and songs that preserve the heart and history of
diverse cultures. More than talented multi-instrumentalists, Lewis and Wilson are also dynamic performers who charm audiences with their humor and enthusiasm for the music they play. In the words of one listener “Traveler’s Dream is exceptional for the way it blends artistry, skill and performance with a great openness and rapport with the audience.” With a deep respect for ancient musical traditions, Wilson and Lewis enrich the music with carefully woven arrangements, close vocal harmonies, and driving rhythms. The duo also writes original songs which nestle seamlessly alongside their traditional material. The end result of this creative mixing of old and new is music that is vibrant and timeless, deeply personal, and distinctly their own. With rich and expressive voices and a wide array of traditional and modern instruments, Traveler’s Dream creates a full and textured sound that is rare for a duo.
